Therapeutic Massage X / $80 / $95 / $110
Therapeutic Massage is a highly effective method for relieving tightness or chronic tension due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. In order to avoid discomfort during "deep tissue" work, open communication during the session is crucial. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released during the session. With this type of massage it is important to warm up the tissue first, requiring longer sessions for muscle specific work. Think about the areas that need this the most and we will focus there.
45 minute Neck Release with Nika $60
This service includes various techniques such as myofascial release, Swedish massage and muscle specific therapeutic massage. This neck release is designed to help improve range of motion, decrease muscle tension and pain in the neck. During this massage we will focus on the muscles and tendons along the spine, shoulders, chest, neck and face. If you are suffering from a pinched nerve, severe pain, numbness or have suffered an injury please consult your primary care physician prior to making an appointment.
Relaxation Massage $40 / $70 / $85 / x
Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
Hot Stone Therapy available this winter
This thermal stone treatment involves therapeutic massage with the assistance of heated stones in the palm of the therapist. Muscles that are heated with these stones (or towels) release tension and stress deeply and quickly in comparison to traditional massage. The overall experience is relaxing and nurturing. Hot stones can increase circulation, metabolism, soothe pain, muscle spasms, tissue stiffness and improve sleep.
**Those with diabetes, cancer, autoimmune dysfunctions, epilepsy, neuropathy, heart disease, skin conditions, recent surgeries or pregnancy should not receive hot stone therapy. Please contact your primary health provider if unsure hot stone therapy is right for you.**
